Canberra-based telecommunications provider, TransACT, has announced that it has purchased ActewAGL’s 50 per cent interest in local internet service provider (ISP) – Grapevine.

TransACT will provide FTTP services to more homes in the new estates of Forde North and Springbank Rise, which increases the number of residents who are able to access TransACT’s high-speed FTTP services to almost 11,000 across the ACT.

This week, TransACT and Neighbourhood Cable (NCPL) have announced that they will start to offer the ‘Google Apps’ range of web-based, communication, collaboration and security products.

Last week, TransACT’s latest and most advanced data centre was officially opened by ACT Chief Minister Jon Stanhope and TransACT Chief Executive Officer Ivan Slavich.

With the Super 14 season kicking-off next week, TransACT and the CA Brumbies have launched the new Brumbies mobile plan by TransACT.

TransACT has been made aware of instances where customers have noticed charges on their credit card from ‘TRANSACT-BILL.com’. Please note that these charges are not from TransACT.

Today, TransACT has announced that from this week Datacom, a local independent mobile phone retailer, will be stocking TransACT mobile phone products.

TransACT has signed an agreement with the ACT Land Development Agency (LDA) to provide fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) services to medium density units (MDUs) along the Flemington Road corridor.

TransACT customers are reminded to provide TransACT with any changes to their details for the 2010 White Pages print directory by next Monday (7 December 2009).

Today, the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Senator the Hon. Stephen Conroy and TransACT Chief Executive Officer Ivan Slavich officially unveiled TransACT’s new dedicated fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) gateway site in Forde.
