Ivan Slavich - Chief Executive Officer
Ivan has more than 23 years experience in the utilities and telecommunications industry. Following a lengthy career as a senior executive with AGL and ActewAGL Ivan was General Manager Retail at TransACT for more than eight years. He was appointed as TransACT Chief Executive Officer in 2008.
Ivan holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (Securities Institute of Australia), a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Executive MBA Program), and a Graduate Company Directors Course (AICD).
Ivan is the Chairman of the Canberra Cavalry Baseball team, Chairman of the ACT Electric Vehicle Council and Bid Leader for A-League4Canberra. Ivan is also a Director of the Service One Members Banking and Deputy Chairman of the ACT & Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Ivan is passionate about Movember, having raised the largest amount of money worldwide in the 2011 Movember campaign, individually and in the TransACT team.
Peter Lee - General Manager Strategy, Wholesale and Regulatory Affairs
Peter is responsible for overseeing TransACT’s business strategy, wholesale operations and regulatory matters. This includes liaison with key customers and stakeholders, including retail service providers (RSPs), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), wholesalers, regulatory bodies (such as the ACCC) and Government.
Accountable for TransACT’s business strategies, Peter works with peers, executives and to the CEO to provide business support and governance to ensure the delivery of TransACT’s strategic business plan.
Peter is responsible for leading and co-ordinating the engagement on TransACT’s response to regulatory and Government bodies and their requests as appropriate and for providing business support on telecommunications regulation, legislation and laws.
Peter is also responsible for the oversight of TransACT’s wholesale business and operations. Peter has more than 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry, including 17 years with Telstra, with more than 15 years experience in senior management roles.
Peter has worked at TransACT since 2001 in numerous roles including Capex Manager, Network Delivery Manager, Business & Strategic Planning Manager and now Group Manager Strategy, Wholesale and Regulatory Affairs.
Peter has an extensive background liaising with Government and regulatory authorities, agencies, land and property developers, carriers, vendors, contractors, consultants and other industry bodies.
Antony (Tony) Allen - Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary
Tony began working at TransACT in 2003 as a Business Analyst / Financial Controller in Retail. Tony later moved into Corporate Finance Planning as well as taking on responsibility for Financial Accounting. In 2008 Tony was promoted to CFO and Company Secretary.
Prior to TransACT Tony worked with Ernst & Whinny (now Ernst & Young) and briefly with ACTEW Corporation. Tony then moved to London to work with Scotland Yard in their Serious Fraud Squad. On return to Australia, Tony worked as the Resort Accountant on Hamilton Island where he undertook an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the business. Following this, he worked for Lend Lease and Dilmun Navigation as Financial Controller in Sydney, before establishing his own business enterprises.
Tony holds a Bachelor in Accounting, a CPA qualification and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Tony has also completed courses in Venture Capital and Financial Modelling and Valuation through the Macquarie University of Applied Finance program.
David Parkes - General Manager Sales and Marketing
David has extensive experience in sales and product development, and wholesale telecommunications and has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than 11 years.
David was employee number 53 starting with TransACT in 2000 and has previously held the roles of Content and ISP Manager, Manager Products, Manager Wholesale and Partner Programs. David joined ActewAGL in 2005 managing ActewAGL and TransACT’s business sales teams, returning to TransACT in 2010 as GM Retail. In 2012, David was appointed as General Manager Sales and Marketing.
Prior to joining TransACT, David worked in the areas of administration at the ANU and for himself as a small business owner in hospitality.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Australian National University.
Andre Koot - General Manager Customer Service and Operations
Andre Koot commenced with TransACT in 2009 as General Manager Victoria. Prior to formally joining TransACT, Andre worked for ActewAGL providing Retail performance analysis and credit management services to TransACT. In 2012 he was appointed General Manager Customer Service and Operations and is responsible for Customer Service, Service Delivery, IT, Program Management and Field Operations across all entities in the TransACT group.
Prior to joining TransACT, Andre held a variety of positions in both the energy and telecommunications sectors including former roles with ActewAGL, Telstra and Country Energy. These roles included responsibility for finance, commercial management, sales operations, strategy, program management and IT systems implementation.
Andre holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategy and Change Management) from Deakin University, a CPA qualification and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Management) from Charles Sturt University.
Andre is currently a full member of CPA Australia and an Associate Fellow of Australian Institute of Management.
Daina Livingstone - General Counsel
In December 2010, Daina commenced with TransACT as General Counsel and is in the process of establishing TransACT's first internal legal team.
As an undergraduate, Daina worked as a research assistant for the Dean of Law in Industrial Relations. Following graduation, she worked for Bevan Ashford in London for 18 months and then returned to Australia, where she worked for Minter Ellison for 7 years. Daina was appointed as a Senior Associate in 2003 and her primary areas of practice were commercial litigation, product liability litigation, commercial insurance, financial services and commercial transactions.
In 2007, Daina moved to Hutchison 3 Mobile as Senior Corporate Counsel and continued in this role following the merger of Hutchison and Vodafone in 2009. During this time, she was involved in regulatory compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, large acquisition and synergy projects arising from the merger, wholesale access negotiations and many cross functional projects, including mobile handset insurance and complaints handling.
Daina holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Technology, Sydney and is currently completing a Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance with Chartered Secretaries Australia.
Pauline Hugler - Manager, Human Resources
While at TransACT Pauline successfully managed the rollback of HR services from ActewAGL under the Managed Services Agreement (MSA). Services rolled back included Employee Relations, Health Safety, HR Equity and Wellness, and Payroll.
Pauline has more than ten years experience in operational and senior management roles as a HR practitioner. Pauline has previously worked for internet security companies, not-for-profit organisations and engineering firms.
Pauline holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management & Marketing. She is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Employment Law.
Wayne Bouffler - Chief Technology Officer
Joining TransACT in 2001 as National Telephony Manager, Wayne began by delivering TransACT’s carrier voice infrastructure and systems including negotiation and implementation of wholesale interconnects before being appointed to the position of CTO in 2005.
Wayne has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications and information technology industries. Prior to joining TransACT, Wayne held a number of senior management roles with organisations including WorldXchange Communications, SITA, Singapore Telecom, OTC and Mayne Nickless.
