TransACT Community Sponsorship program
TransACT is proud to support the local community that supports them, and believes that a vibrant and active community benefits everyone.
TransACT’s first community sponsorship was announced back in 2000, when it teamed up with the Canberra TransACT Capitals, which competes in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL). The sponsorship has since developed into arguably one of Australia’s leading and most recognised sporting partnerships, delivering excellent benefits to both TransACT and the Capitals.
TransACT has also partnered with the National Capital Authority to deliver Tropfest, the world’s largest short film festival, since 2003. The festival is staged annually in Commonwealth Park and in 2007, attracted an audience of over 17,000 people to watch, enjoy and critique sixteen short film finalists.
TransACT’s sponsorship program provides valuable support to schools, community groups and smaller local organisations, by providing promotional items, showbags, prize packs and even the use of the ActewAGL and TransACT marquee, to assist with fundraising initiatives such as auctions, fairs and fetes.
Sponsorship is allocated to the following categories:
