Minimum system requirements

TransACT recommends the following minimum system requirements for using our TransWEB broadband services.

10/100 Mbps Ethernet network interface adaptor with RJ 45 connector (an ADSL modem is also required when accessing TransACT's internet services in certain areas)

• PPPoE software download — requires customer login. Contact TransACT Technical Support for details. This software is to be installed at your own risk. It is provided free of charge by TransACT without obligation or guarantees. It is recommended that our customers (you) make a backup copy of this software for future restorations or computer upgrades. This software is NOT to be resold.
• Windows 98 SE operating systems also need Microsoft's NDIS patch installed. It is recommended that this patch be installed before the PPPoE software.

Notes

1. A CD-ROM drive is required to load the PPPoE (Point-to Point over Ethernet) software if you are using Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Mac OS8.6 or higher. Our installation contractor will install this software during installation of your TransACT services. This software is not required if you are using Windows XP or Mac OS X.
2. These specifications are only a recommendation and different configurations may work successfully on the network.
3. TransACT does not currently support operating systems not listed above.
4. TransACT does not provide support for multiple computer connections or LAN configurations. We recommend that you contact an appropriately qualified communications consultant for assistance.
